WiPH/Coaches Top Sixes, 2023 Final

These are the final Top Six rankings for the 2022-2023 season. The Top Six rankings are for entertainment purposes only, and we're entering the single elimination tournament so rankings are no longer relevant. 

22-23 Boys Division 1 Top Six

1. Notre Dame Academy Tritons 23-0-0 1
2. Eau Claire Memorial Old Abes 17-6-1 2
3. Bay Port Pirates 18-4-0 3
4. SPASH Panthers 21-3-0 4
5. Hudson Raiders 15-9-0 5
6. Verona Wildcats 19-5-0 6

No changes in the Division 1 top six this week. Notre Dame has finished their regular season a perfect 23-0. Bay Port came about 8 seconds away from beating them on January 6th, but Notre Dame tied it up in the final seconds and won in overtime.

The tournament is theirs to lose.

1. New Richmond Tigers 19-4-0 1
2. Amery Warriors 19-4-0 3
3. Fond du Lac Springs Ledgers 15-9-0 2
4. Mosinee Indians 17-6-0 4
5. Beaver Dam Golden Beavers 16-6-1 6
6. Lakeland Thunderbirds 16-4-0 5

Amery sneaks into the #2 spot this week behind #1 New Richmond while Springs falls to #3 following a disappointing loss to Madison Memorial. Lakeland slid down a spot following their loss to Mosinee in the Great Northern Conference Tournament.

Also receiving votes: Black River Falls, Menomonie, Oregon

22-23 Girls Top Six

1. Bay Area Ice Bears 21-3-0 3
2. Superior Spartans 17-5-0 2
3. Central Wisconsin Storm 19-4-0 1
4. Hayward Co-Op Hurricanes 20-4-0 4
5. Warbirds 17-6-0 5
6. University School of Milwaukee 18-5-1 6

The Bay Area Ice Bears beat the Central Wisconsin Storm 5-0 and those two teams flipped in the girls rankings. Everything else is the same.
