The Thunderbirds graduated nine seniors: forwards Brian Theuerkauf (40 points), Travis Rayala (35), Jake Dern (31), Brian Legoo, Caleb Schoonover, Tanner Lopez, and Barry Will. Also gone are defenseman Jason Kingstad (34 points) and goalie Scott Mehr (.889 save %).

This year, senior forward Bruno Borowczyk (53 pts) is returning as the leading scorer from last season and is an All-State Honorable Mention player that has a nose for the goal along with a tremendous work ethic. 

Junior forward Jared Dern (25 pts) will be a top forward as well. Senior Tim Lebert is a tough player in the corners.

On defense, returning players include junior A.J. Oungst (19 pts), junior Tanner Litvinoff (12 pts), and sophomore Nathan Kingstad (11 pts).

Senior goalie Rory Will returns and will get first shot as the starting netminder.

Junior forward Jared Suter should play a key role as a transfer player from Oregon. Other returners that are expected to contribute are senior forward Josh Benson, and junior forwards Austin Dahl and Tyler Peterson.

Freshmen Tommy Berger and Brian Way are also expected to contribute this season.

The T-Birds finished last season with a mark of 14-9-2 in Coach Ken Thanig's first year at the helm.
