With 7:04 remaining in Monday night's non-conference hockey match-up between Lakeland and Ashland, T-Birds center Bruno Borowczyk's second assist, on the game winning goal from Jared Suter, enshrined him into hockey royalty at Lakeland Union High School.

Having already assisted on a second period score from Jared Dern, he then scored the game tying goal himself with 12:28 to go in the third.

The assist on the game winner totaled 130 career points for the senior, surpassing former Lakeland forward and current University of Nebraska-Omaha forward Brent Gwidt as the school's all-time leading point scorer.

Borowczyk's goal in the third lifted his career total to 65, the same (65) as his career assists. Only Gwidt (80) lies ahead of him on the all-time leading goals scored list.

With six more assists this season, Borowczyk will also top the all-time assists list, passing 2000 Lakeland graduate Tad Klabacha who currently holds the all-time record with 70.

Through 11 games this season, Borowczyk has totaled 13 goals and 15 assists. He currently holds the number two spot on points in a season for Lakeland with 53, which he accomplished last year.

Only Gwidt (64) has scored more in a calendar year. Borowczyk's 29 goals scored in 2009-10 also rank second, one ahead of current Carolina Hurricanes forward Pat Dwyer (28), and behind only Gwidt (41).
