Fond du Lac Springs came to play at the historic ERRA Dome on Saturday as part of their two game road trip against Antigo and Northland Pines. The Ledgers struck first against Pines, converting at the literal last second of Connor Cox’s interference penalty. Zachary Wilson took control and fired the puck from the blue line, stunning the Pines players on the ice and fans in the stands alike.

Trailing by a single goal going into the second period, Ryon Ritzer got open in front of the net to tie up the game 1-1. Sammy Spencer shot the puck from the point to Jack Rhode to assist Ritzer on the game tying tally.

Defensemen Connor Cox and Sammy Spencer fired a combined seventeen shots from the blue line, keeping the pressure on goalie Colin Ahern throughout the game. Pines led the shot count 32-10 after the first two periods.

The game remained tied until exactly six minutes remained in regulation when Noah Wittkopf passed the puck to Colton Raymond at the circles. Raymond launched the puck over to Jack Rhode who then tipped the puck in right past Ahern, sealing the Eagles’ victory 2-1.
