Coach David Cox writes:

You are only as good as your goalie and Brett has been the backbone of our team all year.  Statistically he is second in the state with 19 wins, leading the state with a 1.19 GAA, and a .927 save percentage, which is 8th in the state. He just posted his 4 straight shut out last week and completed 253 minutes of shutout hockey. He has allowed 24 goals in 21 games this season and anchored his team defensively.  His team has only lost 3 of 63 periods ALL season while between the pipes.  He plays behind a team that is offensive minded and when he faces a shot it is usually an odd man rush or uncontested shot in tight when we screw up. He has stepped up and played consistent hockey all season long. After 2 years of waiting for his turn to make his mark on our program he has never stopped working. Brett has the ability to steal a game if need be with a series of big saves. He very well could be our MVP at the end of the season. In the classroom Brett carries a cumulative grade point of 3.964. Brett also is an outstanding soccer player on our Conference and Regional Championship HS team.
