Mathison has helped lead his team to a 12-3-2 record with 28 points (18g, 10a) on the season.
Tomah/Sparta Head Coach Todd Kirschbaum writes:
Boone Mathison is only a sophomore and has clearly become one of the leaders of our team. As a freshman, he was voted most valuable player of the team.
This year Boone’s work ethic is infectious throughout the team. Boone is just one of the reasons for Tomah/ Sparta’s turn around this year.
Boone is a three-sport letter winner: he plays football and baseball as well as hockey. Boone’s athletic leadership is impressive; not only does he lead on the ice, he is an exemplary leader / role model off the ice. Boone’s work ethic carries over to the classroom as well.
