The Hilltoppers' Dylan Bonk was able to slip the puck between Joseph Greilich's skate and the post at 13:30 of the first period with Tyler Reineck and George Schelble assisting.
The second period was very consistent with the play of the first. Adam Manske tied the game at 1 with 12:11 showing on the clock with an assist from Malloy Murphy. The goal came on an outlet pass from Murphy and Manske was able to get a breakaway to put the puck past Ahlers.
