Former Wisconsin Valley Conference foes Cole Caufield and John Prokop will once again face each other, albeit on a bigger stage, as the pair will match up in the USA Hockey All-American Prospects game Wednesday night at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

Caufield, a UW commit, will skate on Team Jordan Leopold while Prokop will lace 'em up for Team Jamie Langenbrunner.

The 2018 USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game, which features the top 40 American-born prospects eligible for the 2019 NHL Draft, will be hosted by the Minnesota Wild and Xcel Energy Center on Wed., Sept. 19.

The seventh annual contest, which will be staged in Minnesota for the very first time, is set for a 7 p.m. CT faceoff. Tickets are on sale now at the Xcel Energy Center Box Office or online at ticketmaster.com.

Minnesota natives Jamie Langenbrunner and Jordan Leopold will serve as head coaches. Combined, Langenbrunner and Leopold spent 28 seasons in the NHL and represented the United States internationally on 12 occasions, including three Olympic Winter Games, one World Cup of Hockey, four International Ice Hockey Federation Men's World Championships and four IIHF World Junior Championships.

Former Wisconsin high school players that have participated are Ty Emberson, Eau Claire Memorial (2017); Keegan Ford, Waunakee (2013); and Mick Messner, Madison West (2016).
