The Team Wisconsin girls second day of action at the Minnesota NIT had the girls facing the Minnesota seniors in an 8pm tilt. But before they would get to that anticipated matchup they had North Dakota to play.

So naturally you would think there would be a possibility of this being a trap game.

Not a chance.

The TW girls scored early and often and posted a 10-2 win Saturday in their first game of the day.

Before TW could finish off their first line change they were leading 1-0. As some skaters were going off Abigail Stow stayed deep in the offensive zone and was able to tally the first goal.

Stow ended the game with 3 goals and 3 assists.

TW kept up the pressure early and Lauren Donnellan scored from the point with a wrist shot thru traffic for a 2-0 lead.

Mary Kremer and Jenna Ruiz scored late in the period for a 4-0 lead after the first period.

TW played in the second period with more of the same speed and skill and posted five goals. Addie Young scored twice along with Lauren Hull, Annika Horman and Abigail Stow again for a 9-0 lead after two periods.

Drew Deanovich in the period had 4 assists.

n the third period Stow got her third goal and Jenna Ruiz scored her second of the game to finish up TW scoring at 11-0.

North Dakota was able to break thru to the scoreboard on two goals by Kaylie Klemetsrud and played well late in the game but the outcome was determined by then and TW finished with a 11-2 win.

TW had seven players with 2 or more points in the game. TW goalie Gwen Parker while not tested finished with 14 saves.

TW outshot North Dakota 48-16 for the game.
