3-2 win over Jr Ducks sends team to finals Tuesday morning

Hudson's Cole Danielson has tasted some success this year.

Not only did his team win the state title, but the junior forward also earned the tournament MVP award.

In today's 3-2 semi-final win over the Anaheim Jr. Ducks, Danielson played another starring role, notching a goal and two helpers to lead his team to victory.

Drake Baldwin scored with just over a minute left in the opening period to give TW a 1-0 lead. John Prokop and Danielson had assists on the play.

Jackson Niedermayer tied the game two minutes into the second period for the Ducks.

With just under five minutes left, Sam Stange made it 2-1 TW, with help from Danielson and Mason McCormick.

Once again the pesky Quackers tied the game, with just 31 seconds left in the period on a tally by Ryan Green.

Danielson scored midway through the final period to account for the game-winner.

TW held a narrow shot edge, 24-23 in the contest. Garrett Larsen stopped 21 shots in the win.

Team Wisconsin will battle the Chicago Mission for the National title Tuesday morning bright and early--8:00am CT.

#1 Team Wisconsin has played #2 Mission four times this year, and have compiled a 2-1-1 record against their Illinois neighbors.
