Okon stops 21 shots in loss

Sylvia Bojarski scored five minutes into the game to give Team Wisconsin U14s a 1-0 lead, but saw the East Coast Wizards score the final three goals as TW suffered a 3-1 loss Thursday in Massachusetts.

The Wizards tied the game two minutes after the opening score, and then scored twice six minutes apart in the third to secure the two-goal win.

The Wizards outshot TW 24-20 in the contest, with TW goalie Abby Okon making 21 saves.

"Abby had some good saves," said TW assistant Breanna Seibel. "She played well in net."

Okon came off for an extra attacker with about two minutes left, but TW was unable to score.

"We had several scoring chances (with the extra skater)," noted Seibel.

"It was not our best game," Seibel said. "We have to come out tomorrow, ready to go."
