Jacyn Reeves wins Elite 90 award

Former Ona star earns prestigious NCAA honor

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Jacyn Reeves, a junior on the Ohio State University women’s ice hockey team, is the recipient of the Elite 90 award for the 2018 NCAA Division I Women’s Ice Hockey Championship.

Reeves, a human development and family science major, holds a 3.895 grade-point-average. She was presented with the award during the pre-championship banquet on Thursday night in Minneapolis, Minnesota ahead of the start of the NCAA Women’s Frozen Four. 

”Jacyn is a bright and mature young woman and she’s incredibly deserving of this award,” OSU Head Coach Nadine Muzerall said. “She’s worked really hard behind the scenes while also playing in most of our games this season. It’s great that we have awards like these to honor the student-athletes for the stuff they do that the public doesn’t always see.”
