Turnover in OT grounds Warbirds title hopes.

The Cap City Cougars needed a little extra time in their semifinal game against the Warbirds.

The Warbirds made a few pushes to tie the game but finally with 2:57 left in the third period, Mary Skorupa got her second goal. A shot went off the end board and she was at the right of the net and backhanded the puck in.

The Cougars finally pushed the game to overtime. And the final the game winner was set up off a steal from a defender in the Warbird zone to score the eventual goal.

For the Warbirds they saw their season end with a fine 19-9 record.
