Hayward defeated Western Wisconsin 1=0 in double overtime

St. Croix Valley defeated Superior 8-1

ECA defeated Chippewa Falls/Menomonie 4-0

Regular Season

Hudson defeated Hayward 5-0 on December 23rd.

ECA and St. Croix Valley split their meetings on the season with each team winning on their home ice. ECA won 4-1 on January 4th and the Fusion won 6-5 on January 25th.

Regular Season Stats

Hudson went 22-2-0 in the regular season. They lost to Mahtomedi on December 21st 4-3 and to ECA on
January 18th 4-3 with both games being on the road. Defenseman Anna Wilgren led the Raiders with 36 goals and 28 assists. Freshman Nikki Olund was second on the team with 28 points (15 goals, 13 assists). Hudson’s Cassie Schultz is one of the top goaltenders in the state with a .917 save percentage and 1.36 GAA.

Hayward went 12-12-0 on the regular season. They won 3 of their final 5 games during the regular season. Hayward’s Lauren Donnellan was first on the Hurricanes with 14 goals and 16 assists. Sarah Pearson was next with 14 goals and 7 assists. Emma Quimby had a .917 save percentage and 2.48 GAA for Hayward.

ECA went 21-3-0 during the regular season. The Stars 3 losses came to 3 teams still in the playoffs. They lost to Hudson 3-2, St. Croix Valley 6-5 and Central Wisconsin 4-3. ECA’s Abigail Stow and Ava Kison were 1 and 2 in total points for the Stars. Stow had 76 points (39 goals, 37 assists), while Kison had 65 points (36 goals, 29 assists). Charlotte Akervik returned late in the season to help add further strength to the defense. Freshman Naomi Stow has been spectacular in goal with .914 save percentage and 1.48 GAA.

St. Croix Valley posted a 17-7-0 regular season record. Kamryn Jacobs leads the Fusion with 24 goals and 17 assists. Anna Albrightson is second on the team with 32 points (16 goals, 16 assists). Olivia Klund logged the majority of time in the net with a 3.37 goals against average.

Sectional Two, Greenheck Sectional

Regional Results

Wisconsin Valley Union had a bye.

Lakeland advanced with a 7-0 win over Northland Pines.

Fox Cities defeated the Northern Edge 3-1.

Central Wisconsin knocked off Medford 9-0.

Regular Season

WVU defeated Lakeland 6-2 during the regular season.

This will be the first meeting between Fox Cities and Central Wisconsin this season

Regular Season Stats

Wisconsin Valley Union went 16-6-2 during the season. WVU entered the playoffs losing 4 of their final 5 games. The losses were to Rock County (3-2), ECA (4-1), Central Wisconsin (3-2) and Hudson (6-0). Markie Ash led the Union with 45 points (26 goals, 19 assists). Kendra Robinson was second with 38 points (20 goals, 18 assists). Pistol Cowden led the Union with a 1.76 GAA and a .927 save percentage.

Lakeland had a .500 season with a 12-12-0 record, but claimed the Great Northern Conference title. The Thunderbirds were led by Margaret Wohlleber with 33 points (21 goals, 12 assists). Asucena Boyer was second with 28 points (10 goals, 18 assists). Anna Maulson and Mariah Lear split time in goal this season. Maulson had an .888 save percentage with a 2.86 GAA, while Lear had a 2.62 GAA and an .874 save percentage.

Central Wisconsin finished the season 16-8. The Storm have won 9 of their final 10 games with the lone loss coming against Hudson (2-1). Markie Ash led the Union with 45 points (26 goals, 19 assists). Kendra Robinson was second with 38 points (20 goals, 18 assists). Pistol Cowden led the Union with a 1.76 GAA and a .927 save percentage.

Fox Cities finished the season 13-8-3. Lauryn Hull leads the Stars with 54 points (25 goals, 29 assists). Madelynn Jablonski is second with 52 points (24 goals, 28 assists). Hattie Berndt led the team in goal with a 2.83 GAA and an .872 save percentage.

Sectional Three, Madison Sectional

#5 Metro Lynx @ #1 Rock County Fury, 7:00 PM, Janesville Ice Arena

#3 Cap City Cougars @ #2 Black River Falls Tigers, 7:00 PM, Lunda Memorial Ice Arena

Regional Results

Rock County won 12-1 over the Badger Lightning.

Metro Lynx beat Onalaska 3-1.

Cap City topped Viroqua 6-0.

Black River Falls defeated the Icebergs 5-0.

Regular Season Results

Rock County won both Badger Conference match-ups against the Metro Lynx (5-0 and 6-0).

Black River Falls defeated Cap City 2-1 on January 25th in Sun Prairie.

Regular Season Stats

Rock County posted a 19-3-2 record and claimed their first Badger Conference title. Their lone conference loss came to the Cap City Cougars on January 30th. The Fury were led by Maggy Henschler with 48 points (26 goals, 22 assists). Dani Heitsman was second with 16 goals and 17 assists. McKaylie Buescher was first in the state for Goals Against Average with 1.30 and second in save percentage at .936.

Metro Lynx went  7-16-1 and went 1-3-1 in their final 5 games. The Lynx are led by Sierra Berg with 14 goals and 9 assists. Abby Conybear is second on the team with 18 points (13 goals, 5 assists). Gwen Parker and Sydney McKersie split time in goal this season. Parker had a 3.26 GAA and .872 save percentage, while McKersie had a save percentage of .860 and GAA of 3.14.

Black River Falls went 15-7-1 this season. The Tigers went 9-1 in their final 10 games with the lone loss being to the ECA Stars. Khloe Spors led the Tigers with 27 goals and 7 assists. Baileigh Johnson was second with 22 points (8 goals, 14 assists). Josie Mathison led the state with a .936 save percentage and was fifth in GAA at 1.82.

Cap City finished the regular season 17-6-1. The Cougars went 8-2-0 in their final 10 games of the regular season. Defenseman Margo Thousand led the team in points with 17 goals and 21 assists. Colleen Milligan was second with 8 goals and 24 assists. Amanda Bauer led the team in goals with 20. Taylor Thornton had a .902 save percentage and 1.82 GAA.

Sectional Four, Cornerstone Sectional

USM had a bye.

Brookfield defeated Arrowhead 5-3.

Warbirds/Beaver Dam Co-op defeated Appleton United 4-1.

Regular Season Results

USM lost to Brookfield 6-4 on December 9th, defeated them 6-2 on December 28th and won again on January 19th 7-1.

The Ice Bears won their only meeting against the Warbirds/Beaver Dam Co-op on January 12th by a score of 5-1.

Regular Season Stats

USM finished with a 16-8-0 record during the regular season. The final 10 games saw the Wildcats go 4-6-0. Megan McPike led the Wildcats with 24 points (13 goals, 11 assists). Lexie Epperson was second on the team with 18 points (8 goals, 10 assists). Juliana Strother anchored the goaltending responsibilities for USM. She posted an .885 save percentage and 2.16 GAA.

Brookfield posted a 11-13-0 regular season record. The Glacier went 5-5 in their last 10 games. Hadley Malcolmson led Brookfield and the state in goals with 50. She was second in the state in total points with 68. Zoe Sternberg was second on Brookfield in points with 36 (20 goals, 16 assists). Kristin Woodcock had a 4.64 GAA and .857 save percentage for the Glacier.

Warbirds/Beaver Dam Co-op went 16-8-0 on the season going 6-4-0 in their final 10 games. Alyssa Heim’s 51 points (31 goals, 20 assists) led the Warbirds/Beaver Dam Co-op. Hattie Verstegen was second with 49 points (23 goals, 26 assists). Abby Okon led the goaltending corp with an .891 save percentage and 2.70 GAA.

Bay Area lost 4 of their final regular season games, while posting a 9-11-3 record. Katerina Zrnova led the Ice Bears with 30 points (17 goals, 13 assists). Mia Dunning was second with 13 goals and 13 assists. Delaney Butterfield had an .883 save percentage and 3.19 GAA.
