Unassisted Goals Set Table in First Period

The Eau Claire North Huskies are battling to get into the WiPH top ten and are just outside in honorable mention. They hosted number 1 Hudson Raiders and were looking for a victory to move them up the rankings.

The Raiders were called for a penalty at 5:11 of the first period and Eau Claire North was attempting to pressure the Hudson penalty kill. However, Jack Flattum intercepted a pass in the neutral zone and attacked Tyler Schreiter. Flattum fired the puck to score a short-handed goal at the 6:19 mark. The Raiders increased their lead to two on an unassisted goal by Peyton Hanson with 1:05 remaining in the period.

Hanson picked up his second goal of the game with an unassisted short-handed goal at 11:04. The Raiders were up 4-0 at the end of two periods.

Eau Claire North busted the bubble on Hudson securing a shutout at 1:25 of the third period.  Zach Urdahl passed the puck over to Cal Fadness. Fadness fired the puck from inside the blue line and beat Hudson goalie A.J. Cohen glove side. The Raiders countered with an unassisted goal by Jordan Halverson at 11:33 in the third. Hudson's final goal was scored on a tip in by Aaron Squires with Halverson and Flattum assisting on the goal.
