CCM Minnesota Press Release

St. Paul, MN--March 27, 2011

Minnesota Hockey has announced details for the second annual CCM Minnesota Hockey High School National Invitational. The round-robin tournament will occur April 14th-17th at the Plymouth Ice Center and will feature teams comprised of top high school players from Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Michigan and Massachusetts.

"There will be scouts from several NHL teams and collegiate programs at this tournament," said Mike MacMillan, executive director of the Minnesota High School Hockey Coaches Association. "Last year 80% of the Division I programs and every team from the USHL was represented.

"Many high school players have the potential to play at the next level after their high school career is over and this tournament will give these young men another chance to demonstrate their abilities."

Two teams from Minnesota will compete in the tournament. The Minnesota 18U Selects team will feature the top players from the Reebok Minnesota Hockey High Performance Advanced 18 Festival.

The Minnesota Senior All-Stars will be comprised of the most outstanding players from the 27th annual Ted Brill Great 8 Tournament.

Team Wisconsin will be represented by players selected from the premier performers that competed at the 29th Senior Class Tournament.

As part of the extensive Reebok-CCM partnership with Minnesota Hockey, CCM will be the title partner of the tournament.

"Supporting this tournament is a very important piece of our relationship with Minnesota Hockey," said Steve Rixie, Regional Sale Representative for Reebok-CCM Hockey, Inc. "Everyone at CCM is proud to be part of such an exciting hockey event in Minnesota."

DIRECTIONS

A Must-See

Since the games are spread out pretty well over the course of the week/weekend, parents will have plenty of time to sightsee/shop, etc.

From last year's experience, I can truthfully say you have to visit The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes.

It is only a 10-15 minute drive from the player/parents hotel and is a good place to check out.
