The Madison U18 team defeated North Central 5-1 Sunday afternoon to grab the Tier II championship and will advance to the USA Hockey Nationals at Gates Mills, OH March 30-April 3. 

On the U16 side, Northeast beat Madison 3-1 to advance to the USA Hockey Nationals in Reston, VA March 30-April 3.

Congrats to all WEHL teams and players on a fine season and good luck to the teams moving on to Nationals.

This weekend in Fond du Lac, the WEHL teams are competing in the Tier II state tournament.

In the U16 division, seven squads are competing for the state title.

Those teams are:

• Milwaukee
• Western
• Northwest
• North Central
• Northeast
• Madison
• Phoenix ( a non-WEHL team)

On the U18 side, there are also seven teams vying for the title. 

They are:

• Northeast 
• Milwaukee 
• North Central
• Madison
• Western
• Phoenix (non-WEHL)
• Kenosha (non-WEHL)

 The winners in both the U16 and U18 divisions will advance to the USA Hockey Nationals.

The U16 team will play March 30-April 3 in Reston, VA while the U18 squad will participate at Gates Mills, OH at the same time.
