The first round of voting has been completed and the finalists for the WHCA/American Family Insurance Player of the Year award for 2011 is officially being released today.

Normally, eight finalists are named, but this year, for the first time in the POTY voting history, there is a tie and nine players will attend the POTY banquet that will be held in Madison on Wednesday, March 2.

Those players are:

• Trevor Hoth, Stoughton
• Evan Janssen, Green Bay United

• Saxton Soley, Eau Claire Memorial
