Storm will travel to take on Marquette on Friday

Joe Aiken’s goal with just over 2 minutes remaining in the third period broke a 3-3 tie and lifted the Whitefish Bay-Nicolet-Shorewood (WNS) Storm to a playoff win over the visiting Kenosha Thunder Tuesday night.

The Storm jumped to an early 3-0 lead in the first period on goals by Aiken , Andrew Goelz and Djordje Torbica.  But the Thunder would not quit and began their rally with three unanswered goals by Zach Dawiec, John Brunner and Anthony Elsen.  The first Kenosha goal came shorthanded late in the first period, and was followed by goals midway through the second and third periods.

Nic Wise had 22 saves for Kenosha and Sean Leahy had 25 saves for WNS.
