The winter sports season can be long when you’re struggling. But the three-month season also gives teams plenty of time to figure things out.
The Badger Lightning girls hockey team is looking to do just that after suffering an 8-0 home loss to the Western Wisconsin Stars on Saturday.
“It’s a struggle right now, everyone is just trying to reset,” Badger Lightning coach Rick Capener said.
The Lightning (2-10) stuck with the Stars (7-9-1) early on, trailing just 1-0 after the first period. Western Wisconsin had gotten on the board when Cassie Gravelle found the back of the net 5-minutes, 2-seconds into the first.
