BMHS teams up with VetsRoll.org in January 7 game

Beloit Memorial High School hockey has hosted a "military night" for the past 4 years and has teamed up with VetsRoll.org, VetsRoll is an non profit organization run by a former BYHA BOD member Mark Finnegan. This organization gives the opportunity to men and women who answered our nations call at times of our nation greatest need. VetsRoll Mission is to thank and pay tribute to these heroes especially our World War II and most senior veterans by transporting them to Washington DC over 4 days of honor and remembrance at no cost to our heroes.

This is just another way to pay it forward and teach our youth of the importance of our Vets and pay respect.

This year I decided to change our jersey up and pay thanks one more time. With the full support of the varsity families. (Most these player have been together for years and all the families decided to chip in:) we also award Mark Finnegan with his own jersey to pay thanks for all his hard work and dedication to such a program.

We had several raffles that evening and also paired up with operation OOH-RAH. What this did in return is we asked every one attending the game that evening to bring an item for donations to be sent to our troops overseas. All proceeds of our even went to help support VetsRoll and help promote what it stands for.
