Bartletti stops 27 shots in 3-0 win

FOND DU LAC - As St. Mary's Springs co-op boys hockey coach Tim Ahern said, hockey is a game of scoring.

Despite controlling the pace of play and holding a shots-on-goal advantage, the Ledgers simply couldn't find the back of the net.

Antigo scored once in the first period and added two goals in the second as the Red Robins shut out St. Mary's Springs co-op 3-0 in a nonconference game on Saturday afternoon at Blue Line Family Ice Center.

"We did everything but score," Ahern said. "We owned the pace of play, we controlled a lot of play. (Antigo's goaltender) left a lot of rebounds, but we did not have second and third guys in on those chances. For the most part, we outworked them, but we didn't outscore them and it's a game of scoring. When you score zero goals it's hard to win."
