Gifts, Bible verses and grateful words were all part of the program on the evening of Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, as Barron County Habitat for Humanity dedicated its new home on Chukka Drive, just west of the Barron County Justice Center.

This is the 21st home to be constructed by Habitat in Barron County. Habitat for Humanity offers affordable housing to qualified buyers who meet income guidelines and are willing to put in work hours to finish their homes.

Homeowner Carrie Ledin and her two children, John and Jayden, will live in the home, which had been under construction since June of this year.

Ledin, who has been employed at Core Products International, Inc., in Chetek, for more than 20 years, read a statement during a ceremony in which she was given the keys to her new home.
