Mekenzy Hoisington stopped everything thrown her way last week, back-stopping Appleton United in a pair of tight road wins, while Alec Elkin was busy scoring four goals and setting up seven others in three games for Neenah/Hortonville/Menasha.
On Tuesday night, Hoisington shut down the Point/Rapids/Marshfield Co-op, stopping all 28 shots in a 2-0 United win. Then on Saturday, she stopped all 30 shots attempted by the Fond du Lac Co-op in a 3-0 win for Appleton.
Alec Elkin kicked off the week by chipping in three assists in the Rockets 5-0 win over Beaver Dam.
On Thursday night Elkin played a big role in NHM’s big early 8-4 win over the SPASH Panthers at KB Willett Arena in Stevens Point. Alec score three goals and assisted on two others in handing the Panthers their first loss of the season.
Unfortunately, Elkin’s goal and two assists weren’t enough for the Rockets on Saturday as they came up short in a 6-5 loss to the visiting Somerset Spartans.
