This afternoon, the NAHL held its draft and over the course of a few hours, over 350 names were called.
Nine of those selected are originally from Wisconsin, including a half-dozen that played for their WIAA high school teams.
Headlining that group were WHCA/American Family Insurance Player of the Year Trenton Bliss (Appleton United) and POTY finalist Blake Ripley (Waunakee).
Also selected were Aaron Grounds (Hudson), Brendan Sheehan (Somerset/Shattuck St. Marys), Noah Wilson (Fond du Lac), and Timmy Nicksic (Tomah/Buffalo Jr. Sabres).
Hunter Larsen (Jr. Ads U18), Alec Broetzman (Madison Capitols), and Zach Metsa (Jr. Ads U18) were picked as well.
