Four with Wisconsin ties picked in USHL Futures Draft

Two Wisconsin high school players and two others born in the state were chosen in the USHL Futures Draft held on May 18.

 Two Wisconsin high school players and two others born in the state were chosen in the USHL Futures Draft held on May 18. Defenseman Tim Davison of Notre Dame Academy was picked twelfth overall (1-12) by Youngstown, while fellow blueliner John Feemster of Wausau West was selected 58th overall (4-13) by Sioux Falls.  "It feels great to be drafted in the futures (draft)," said Davison. "Now I have a lot of hard work to do if I ever want to play for Youngstown." 90 players in the 1994 age group were picked in the six round draft. The selecting teams place its draftees on team affiliate lists for the 2010-11 season and hold player rights for three years. Also chosen were forward Zach Stepan of Balsam Lake (Shattuck) in the first round (10th overall) by Waterloo, and defenseman Brendan Vetter of Fond du Lac (Madison Caps) as the 63rd pick (5-3) by Sioux Falls. The USHL Entry Draft will take place tomorrow, May 19.
