Led all players with seven points

Junior Amber Heidenreich led all scorers with seven points (5g-2a) and led her Hayward Hurricanes to their second state title in four years, avenging last year's loss to University School in the championship game.

In the process, the diminutive (5'2") speedster also earned the MVP award for the state tournament, as named by WiPH staffers and selected media members.

The Hurricanes blew past Rock County 6-1, thanks to Heidenreich's four goals and one assist. In the 4-1 victory over USM, she scored a goal and added an assist.

Nicole Unsworth (University School) and Katelynn Schilling (Central Wisconsin) rounded out the first team forwards.

The Hayward defense pair of Alex Grubbs and Karin Knapp were selected to the first team, as well as goalie Lauren Tremblay of Hayward.
