With the city poised to annex the land within six years, Madison’s City Council is scheduled for a briefing on future options for the county-owned Alliant Energy Center.
Council President Denise DeMarb, 16th District, has scheduled a meeting on the expo and entertainment complex Monday that will include a presentation from Hammes Co. president Robert Dunn and vice president William Robinson.
Hammes in October released a report on the Alliant Energy Center that outlined three options for the campus, including one that called for replacing the 49-year-old Dane County Coliseum with a new multipurpose arena and developing a retail, dining and hotel district around it.
