Former UWSP player and Stevens Point Panther assistant Dan Francis has been named as the new SPASH head coach, it was announced this week.
Francis had been an assistant to former head coach Mikhail Salienko the past two seasons.
Francis, a Roseville, Michigan native, played for three seasons at UWSP, participating in 79 games while scoring 39 points on 21 goals and 18 assists. Prior to that, he played with Springfield of the NAHL.
