Girls NIT (Game 2): T-Dub blanks North Dakota

Rowe, Detert each score four points in easy win

After a tough one-goal loss the night before, the Team Wisconsin girls came back with a 9-0 blanking of North Dakota Friday morning in the CCM NIT tourney.

TW started strong, scoring seven goals in the first period, and then added single goals in each of the final two periods.

Courtney Wittig (Bay Area) scored twice, while Sloan Sullivan (USM), Jacyn Reeves (Onalaska), Maddie Rowe (St. Croix Valley), Stephanie Keryluk (Madison Capitols), and Kelly Knetter (Central WI) each tallied once before the period ended and the rout was on.

Lauren Smith (Northern Edge) scored in the second and Rowe finished off the scoring in the final period.

TW outshot North Dakota 39-14 in the contest.

Erin Connolly (Lakeshore) stopped 14 shots for TW, while Skylar Ackerman (11) and Quinn Kuntz (19) teamed up for 30 North Dakota saves.
