A Classic Eight Divisional matchup pitted the Marquette Hilltoppers and Brookfield Stars in a head to head matchup Thursday night. The teams skated evenly until the 7:45 mark of the first period when Marquette scored taking a 1-0 lead. That was all the scoring that took place in the period. At 10:11 of the second period, Riley Keays went top shelf on the power play to tie the game but Marquette got that goal right back 30 seconds later to take back the lead. 2-1. No other scoring took place in the second period. In the third period, the Stars had their chances but couldn't connect and find that game tying goal, as the Hilltoppers skated off with a win 2 -1 victory. Next Tuesday, the Stars head over to the Mullet Ice Center to face Arrowhead.
