Two weeks left in fundraiser drive

January 3, 2015 is the last day to make your donation to the “WiPH Cancer Research and American Family Children’s Hospital Patient/Family Fund Fundraiser”.   Complete details can be found at www.wisconsinprephockey.net/charity and your donation can be made on this page.

After talking to different coaches at the WIAA State Hockey Tournament last year, I really believed the high school hockey teams and coaches would be behind this fundraiser.  However, as of the time I am writing this, we have only received one donation for $20.

Cancer is a terrible disease and the majority of people know a family member or friend who has had to battle with this disease.  We chose the following to receive the donations (100% of the donations will be distributed):

American Family Children’s Hospital Patient/Family Fund – 50% of the donations will go here to help families who have a child in the hospital.

McArdle Laboratory for Cancer Research – 50% of the donations will be made to help with ongoing cancer research.

Once again, we are asking the fans and teams to look at donating what they can on this fundraiser.  If we averaged (not asking every team to donate this amount) $100 per team, we could raise in excess of $12,000 for this cause.

We, the staff at Wisconsin Prep Hockey, would like to “Thank you” in advance for your help and wish all of you Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
