In his final year with the Verona boys hockey team, senior forward Charlie Parker gave the program and its fans a season that will not soon be forgotten.

The captain was instrumental to the Wildcats’ success, finishing with a team-high 58 points in 30 games, including 11 points in six postseason contests as he led the Wildcats to their first state championship.

He earned a spot on the Wisconsin Hockey Coaches Association All-State first team, and also was the area’s only finalist for the American Family Insurance/WHCA Player of the Year award.

Adding to his accolades, Parker is the State Journal/WisconsinPrepZone.com All-Area boys hockey player of the year.
