Grebe Continues Torrid Scoring Pace

Andrew Riehl stopped all 22 shots he faced and Anthony Grebe finished with two goals and an assist as St. Mary’s Springs won its fourth straight game with a 4-0 victory over #7 Waukesha at the Blue Line Family Ice Center on Saturday afternoon.

Waukesha kept the Ledgers scoreless for more than 12 minutes of the opening period before Zach Fischer got Springs on the board with an even-strength goal off assists from Zach McLaughlin and Brady Sarauer.

Grebe then followed less than two minutes later with a power-play goal from Jackson Voight as the Ledgers took a 2-0 lead into the second period.

That’s when the Ledgers top line took over.

Mark Austin scored the Ledgers’ second power play goal just 1:18 into the second period off assists from linemates Grebe and Connor Blanck. Blanck and Austin then assisted on Grebe’s second goal that capped the scoring.

The Ledgers travel play Waupun on Tuesday and then take on Fondy at the Blue Line Ice Center next Saturday at 5 pm.
