DeForest-Poynette-Lodi back in action after a year off

After a year on hiatus, the DeForest-Poynette-Lodi prep boys hockey team is back on the ice this winter. The Norskies canceled the 2012-13 season due to low numbers, but have 17 athletes on this year’s roster.

DPL won’t send much experience onto the ice, as they don’t have any seniors and only two juniors. Only one player on the squad has varsity experience.

“Obviously our main weakness is the inexperience we have as a team, but the coaching staff is incredibly excited to see where this team will finish over the next two to three years,” DPL coach Brian Loeck said.
