When longtime hockey coach Tim Franzini announced he was walking away from coaching last winter, he remained open to the possibility of a return.
His initial intent was to take at least a year off, unless the right position presented itself.
Along came the Onalaska co-op girls hockey coaching position. Franzini was officially named the new Hilltoppers coach Tuesday after Eric Bugenhagen stepped down earlier this year.
