Team Wisconsin in their first game on this Saturday was a matchup with Team Massachusetts. TW won the game 5-0 for a win in pool play.

TW outshot them 54-8 in the contest.

TW got going with a late goal in the first period by Griff Jeszka. He was in with Zach Jones on a rush up ice when Jeszka let a shot off. The shot left a rebound and Jones scored  to give TW a 1-0 lead .
  
Casey Jerry scored the next goal when he got a wrist shot from the mid slot for the goal thru traffic in front with about four minutes left in period two.

Matching minors shortly after made for 4 on 4 hockey and TW got a tally from Jeszka. He gathered up a rebound and with the goalie down he buried it in the net for a 3-0 lead thru two periods.

The third period saw Jeszka get his second of the game and Daniel Tripicchio chipped in with a late goal for the 5-0 final.

The evening game had TW playing the Minnesota Seniors.

Minnesota held off a strong first period by TW. The Boys in Red went into the intermission down 3-1 but played very well and got a goal by Michael Wilson to get TW on the board.
  
The second period saw Minnesota score four goals, including two on the power play. TW did get a power play goal from Casey Jerry, but Minnesota's Alex Funk scored a pair to offset that goal from a 4-2 lead to a 6-2 lead and a breakaway goal with 17 seconds left in the second giving Minnesota the 7-2 lead thru 2 periods
  
As good as TW played early in the first they showed fatigue in the third period with no scoring but Minnesota controlling play.
  
The final shots were 46-26 in favor of Minnesota in the game. Wisconsin plays for 3rd place Sunday at 10:45 against Minnesota HP U18.
