Hayward/Spooner defenseman Holly Turnbull scored three points (1g-2a), had a +/- rating of 4 (which led the tournament), and ran the power play to perfection as her team defeated Onalaska 5-2 to win the 2013 state championship.
For those reasons and more, she was named the WiPH All-Tournament MVP by WiPH staff and selected media members.
The Lady Hurricanes converted on four of eight power play chances while killing off nine of 10 penalties in the two games.
