Paskus brothers lead Madison West past Monona Grove

There was plenty of physicality Thursday night, but Cole Paskus and his Madison West boys hockey teammates knew from the opening face-off that they’d have to win the mental battle to pull off a victory in their WIAA regional final matchup against Monona Grove.

“Those Johnston brothers are pretty good,” Paskus said of Silver Eagles’ first-line stalwarts Zach and Travis Johnston. “We sort of had to mess with their mental game, and then we just took advantage of that.”
