Aquinas co-op takes control

The Aquinas co-op boys hockey team had plenty on its mind entering its final game of the regular season.

But on the eve of discovering its postseason fate, the Avalanche focused on what they could control.

Control is exactly what they did. The Avalanche took over nearly every aspect of the game as they rolled to a 6-2 win over Tomah and captured a share of their first-ever MVC championship Tuesday at the OmniCenter. The Avalanche share the title with Onalaska, which earned a share of it last week with a 6-5 win over the Timberwolves.
