The Chippewa Falls coach used to live down the street from Nelson, and when Parker attempted to make a pond rink — it didn't go so well and ended up only being about 4 feet by 4 feet — Nelson was one of the first kids over to test it out. Anywhere Nelson went, he usually had a hockey stick in hand.
