The Rhinelander High School boys' hockey team challenged the rival Antigo Red Robins on Thursday night in a pivotal late season match up. The Hodags were looking to continue their momentum after an overtime thriller against Pacelli,in which they emerged victorious by a score of 6-5. Antigo was coming in a strong team, much healthier than the Hodags, and hoping to control the contest throughout. In a heated game, the Hodags fell by a score of 7-1.
The first period was very evenly matched, as both teams shredded the ice peering for slight cracks in the opponents armor. The Robins struck once in the opening frame, but the period ended a very competitive 1-0 contest.
