The Waukesha Wings Coop High School Hockey team increased their winning streak to 4 with a victory over the Oshkosh Ice Hawks on Saturday evening at Eble Ice Arena.  The Wings scored early and often in a 12-3 win.  The Wings were lead by Junior Zed Dietrich(6 goal, 1 assist) and Senior Cody Vanthournout(3 goals, 1 assist) with help from Senior Dominic Florian(2 goals, 1 assist), Senior Doug Devoe(3 assists), Joe Horan(3 assists) and Junior Alex Runge(1 goal, 3 assists). 

Dietrich capped off his 12 point weekend with two scores in the first period at  1:15 and at 10:51.  Vanthornout added another in the first at 13:14.  The Wings looked to have the game in hand but Oshkosh Senior Nick Monfils scored with 44 seconds left in the period to make the 3-1 at the break.  The Wings did not back down and opened a large lead in the second.  Two more goals from Dietrich at 4:27 and 9:29 followed by a goal from Runge at 9:46 and another Vanthornout goal at 10:39 put the Wings up 7-1.  Oshkosh did not give up, scoring their second goal from Eddie Dempsey at 11:20.  Dietrich and Florian added a couple more goals at 13:37 and 14:51 to make the score at the final break 9-2.  The third started with the Wings Cody Vanthornout achieving his first hat trick of the year at :20.  High School point leader Ryan Mantz put in a goal at 4:58 for Oshkosh but that would be all the Ice Hawks could do for the remainder of the game.  Florian and Dietrich put in the final goals at 10:18 and 14:58.

The Wings got another strong performance from goaltender, Junior Jake Kupsky.  Kupsky had 20 saves.  The Wings had 43 shots on the evening.

The Wings play another two game weekend with a game at Nagawaukee Ice Arena on Friday evening at 6:45 pm against the Beloit Memorial Purple Knight and again on Saturday evening at 7:00 pm at Eble Ice Arena against the Homestead Highlanders.
