This Saturday, the 15th of December, the Saints will host Reedsburg/Wisconsin Dells in a JV game @ 1 PM, followed by a 3 PM tilt for the varsity event in Eau Claire.  The Varsity game will mark what is being billed as "MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY" for the team.  All active duty military members in uniform and those with military ID cards will be allowed into the game without charge.  In conjunction with the game, the team will be taking donations and bringing awareness to www.defendingtheblueline.org, a cause that provides military families with FREE head to toe hockey equipment, grants to pay local hockey fees, FREE summer hockey camps, and unique experiences such as sending the entire military family out to a pro, or collegiate hockey games.  

We've partnered with the City of Eau Claire in their Clearwater Winter Parade (See Parade Document on the right) that day, down Water St, starting at 5 PM and ending at the rink with a winter celebration including games, food and open skating (Sponsored by Eau Claire Parks & Recreation & Forestry, Xcel Energy, Mega Foods, Z-100, Leader-Telegram, Charter Communications, WEAU TV-13, Eau Claire Ford & Rock N' Roll To Go Plus.)  Should be a great day of fun for the whole family!  There are a lot of great things associated with this event and we hope that you're able to take it all in!

We're anticipating a few NHL players associated with DTBL to be in attendance for the game and will forward the final communication regarding that to you as soon as we get confirmation of that news regarding any photo or meet and greet opportunities associated with the event.

In related news, the Saints JV program hosted Rice Lake last Tuesday and took a loss for the first time this year.  Come join us this Saturday to watch the Saints battle RWD and root on the Saints back into the "W" column!
