The WNS Storm (3-1) got goals from four seniors en route to a 5-1 victory over the visiting Cedarburg Bulldogs in this North Shore Conference clash at the Kern Center Friday night.
The Bulldogs took an early lead on a 1st period goal by sophomore Taylor Curtis, following a scramble in front of the net.
WNS defenseman Andy Keith tied the score five minutes into the second period, weaving through three defenders before lacing a wrist shot puck past Bulldog keeper Tyler Jansen.
Senior forwards Andy Krugler and Drew Kneisel tallied later in the second with sniper goals for WNS. Storm goaltender Sean Leahy stopped a breakaway attempt with seconds remaining in the second period to preserve the lead at the end of two.
Energized by the large home crowd at Spirit Night, the Storm bottled up Cedarburg's offense in the final period. Drew Kneisel intercepted a breakout pass with four minutes remaining and his snap shot beat Jansen's glove hand to all but seal the win.
Senior forward Djordje Torbica's 150-foot empty net goal capped the scoring.
Jansen had 21 saves for Cedarburg and Sean Leahy had 25 saves for WNS.
