The Rhinelander High School boys' hockey team entered Thursday's game against Chequamegon/Phillips, knowing it needed to contain the Screaming Eagles and Loggers (SEaLs) front line.
The Hodags failed to accomplish that goal and paid the price. The SEaLs first unit of forwards and defensemen accounted for 15 points - seven goals and eight assists - in a 9-1 rout at the Rhinelander Ice Arena.
Pierce Pluemer had a hat trick and an assist and Josh Lemke had two goals and two helpers for the SEaLs (2-0-0).
