Tops University School 2-1 in Championship Game

In the championship game of the Paul Meyer Memorial Tournament at University School Saturday evening, the University School boys’ hockey team lost to Middleton 2-1 in overtime.

“It was a good hockey game, especially this early in the season,” said USM’s head coach Cal Roadhouse.  “I am not disappointed by the loss. I thought we played well overall. We always enjoy playing Middleton: they’re well-coached and they develop their team for the long-run, like we try to do.”

USM now has a record of 1-0-1.  The Wildcats travel to The Blake School in Hopkins, Minnesota on Friday, November 23rd to participate in the 24th annual Bob Nelson Hockey Tournament.  The Wildcats face Blake in the first round at 7:30 p.m.
