Opening round of Paul Meyer Memorial Tournament

The University School boys’ hockey team defeated Waunakee 5-2 in the opening round of the Paul Meyer Memorial Tournament at USM Friday.

The Wildcats took the lead early and held it throughout the game.

“We had good energy tonight,” said USM’s head coach Cal Roadhouse.  “I liked our enthusiasm.  The guys worked hard during the off-season, and we built on their efforts tonight. We still have things to work on, but it was a good start to the season.”

USM is now 1-0-0.  The Wildcats play Middleton in the championship game of tournament Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
