Skibba and Clemment win NAHL honors for the week

Lee, Kirley, Dixon and Vieth get Honorable Mentions.

  Brett Skibba and Garret Clemment, former Team Wisconsin and high school players were named Players of The Week honors for last week in the NAHL.

   Skibba, who played for Middleton against Clemment's Wausau West team in the State Championship game in 2011, scored 5 of his teams 9 goals in a sweep of Port Huron. Friday night Skibba also scored a hat trick in a 5-3 win over the Northern Division Leaders.  Skibba leads the team with 14 points and is a +6 on the season.

    Notre Dame forward Austin Vieth received Honorable Mention for his play with the Janesville Jets in their split with Kalamazoo.

   In the West Division Garret Clemment helped his team the Fairbanks Ice Dogs to a three game sweep of the Fresno Monsters. In that series the former West Warrior had 3 goals and 2 assists on the weekend and is now third on the team in scoring with 12 points.

   His former West teammate Kyle Lee, also an Ice Dog, received Honorable Mention for his play too, as Fairbanks moved within 1 point of first place Wenatchee Wild.

   In the Central Division Nolan Kirley of Hayward made Honorable Mention for the Austin Bruins along with Second Star of The Week teammate Cody Dixon of Catholic Memorial, who had a 2 goals and a +1 in wins over Brookings and Bismarck.
