DE PERE — One of the most common clichés in hockey is when a coach or commentator says, “the goaltender stood on his head.”

Simply stated, the goalie probably made a number of spectacular saves to keep his team in the game that particular night.

David Jacobson hasn’t stood on his head this season. He has done cartwheels.
